Fat begins to accumulate more easily, and this process becomes increasingly difficult to counteract despite eating more carefully and consuming less food. Workouts that once felt so natural and easy now require significantly greater effort to achieve results that no longer meet expectations.

Elevated cholesterol levels, increased fat percentage, and decreased muscle mass—no longer offset by an efficient metabolism and a regular active lifestyle—become contributing factors to a wide range of cardiovascular, metabolic, skeletal, respiratory, and neurological conditions. Obesity, often overlooked, is a major risk factor for diseases ranging from insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome to atherosclerosis, diabetes, and vital organ failure.

Chronic inflammation sets in, worsening cardiovascular issues and creating a vicious cycle alongside obesity and inadequate glandular function. These phenomena amplify each other, leading to increased resistance of cellular receptors to hormones—including insulin—further exacerbating general health problems. In such conditions, overall health deteriorates.

Most people with insulin resistance do not realize they are affected. It is only after the onset of diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia that they become aware of the problem—by which point, many bodily systems are already imbalanced.

Nutritional Deficiencies

Many nutritional deficiencies stem from an unbalanced diet, the consumption of genetically modified foods artificially stimulated to grow faster, or simply because an aging gut no longer has the same digestive capacity.

Cognitive Function & Sleep

Cognitively, the body becomes increasingly sensitive to stress, making it harder to maintain focus throughout the day, while memory impairments become constant. The progressive decline in cognitive function becomes a serious issue when it starts affecting work performance. Things become easier to forget and harder to remember, while patience wears thin more quickly. Another notable aspect is socialization—without realizing it, we become highly selective, and fewer people bring us joy.

Sleep, once deep and restorative, becomes affected as well. Various health conditions, hormonal imbalances, improper diet, and medication side effects lead to sleep disturbances, gradually stripping it of its restorative properties. Consequently, these disturbances cause daytime drowsiness, fatigue, irritability, mood swings, and concentration difficulties. There is a persistent feeling of insufficient and shallow sleep. We wake up unmotivated, often needing multiple cups of coffee just to start the day.

Skin

Changes in skin appearance are among the most visible signs of aging. As we age, we witness the formation of wrinkles, loss of elasticity and firmness, thinning of the epidermal layer, and sagging skin that takes on a poor-quality appearance.

Libido, Sex, Orgasms

Hormonal imbalances, increased oxidative stress, higher body fat percentage, nutritional deficiencies, medication side effects, periods of stress, and lack of regular physical activity lead to a noticeable decline in libido and, consequently, a decrease in sexual activity.

A sign of declining libido in men is the reduced frequency of nocturnal and morning erections. While they were once consistent and strong enough to wake us up, now we rarely recall such moments. Over time, men experience less frequent and weaker erections, while women face a loss of vaginal elasticity and lubrication, leading to decreased pleasure compared to their youth.

Sex is no longer a refuge, nor is it as satisfying—orgasms become weaker and much harder to achieve. Combined with physical changes, a general decline in well-being, the onset of new health conditions, and the worsening of chronic illnesses, this ultimately leads to a collapse in self-esteem, positive emotions, and increased anxiety, depression, and insomnia.

Environmental Factors, Detoxification, Immune System

Constant exposure to environmental factors (such as pollution and radiation) and chemical compounds (like cigarette smoke, pesticides, toxins, certain medications, food additives, and industrial chemicals) leads to the formation of chemically unstable molecules known as free radicals. These harmful elements are a constant presence in our lives, and no matter what we do, we cannot entirely avoid them. Reactive molecules cause significant cellular destruction, damaging cell membranes, altering DNA structures, and modifying structural proteins and lipids, ultimately leading to cellular deformation or death.

Ideally, there is a balance between free radicals, antioxidants in the body, and neutralization mechanisms. When the body’s detoxification processes can no longer keep up with free radical activity, these radicals accumulate, leading to oxidative stress. Prolonged exposure to oxidative stress results in genetic degradation and mutations at the cellular level (abnormal cell growth being a first step toward cancer) and directly accelerates premature aging, inflammation—especially within blood vessels and arteries—and the onset of cardiovascular, autoimmune, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, which are becoming increasingly common.

Cumulatively, all these factors contribute to a weakened immune system, making it less capable of fighting infections. Not only do we become more vulnerable to pathogens, but battling an infection takes significantly longer compared to when we were younger—even if it is just a simple viral illness. Normally, when a genetically altered cell appears, the immune system eliminates it just as it would eliminate a pathogen. However, a weakened immune system is less vigilant, allowing genetically altered cells affected by oxidative stress to multiply. This manifests as a broad range of conditions—from wrinkles and loss of skin tone to organ failure and the potential emergence of cancerous cells.

Bone Density and Osteoporosis

As a result of hormonal imbalances and a sedentary lifestyle, both men and women begin to lose bone density over time as part of the aging process. Bones gradually lose calcium and become so fragile that they can break easily. Osteoporosis, defined as a reduction in bone density, has long been considered a disease primarily affecting women.

Conventional treatment models rely on medications that inhibit resorption processes, conjugated estrogens to promote bone formation, and nutritional supplementation. When these treatment approaches fail or cause more severe side effects than osteoporosis itself, conventional medicine suggests that osteoporosis is an inevitable consequence of aging.

We recognize osteoporosis as one of many conditions triggered by accumulated factors over time, including prolonged exposure to oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, daily stress that increases cortisol levels, insulin resistance, obesity, a sedentary lifestyle, and nutritional deficiencies—exacerbated by the fact that fewer people prioritize regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and proper supplementation.
